Stoll Vaughan

Stoll Vaughan is an acclaimed singer-songwriter rooted in Americana and folk. Influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, and Guy Clark, Vaughan developed a style known for its deep, reflective lyrics, sense of place, and emotional authenticity.
His first two albums, “Hold On Thru Sleep and Dreams” (2005) and “Love Like a Mule” (2006), both charted in the Top 10 on the Americana charts. He went on to release “The Conversation” (2018), and “Desires Shape” (2020). His fifth album, “Dream In Color” (2024), explores themes of transition, gratitude, fatherhood, and the everyday beauty of life.

Vaughan has a longstanding songwriting partnership with Duane Betts (son of Allman Brothers, Dickey Betts), contributing to three of his solo projects: the 2018 debut EP “Sketches of American Music” (which he also co-produced), the 2023 debut solo album “Wild & Precious Life”, and the 2026 release “Isle of Hope”. That songwriting partnership led to co-writing with The Allman Betts Band for their two records “Down to the River” and “Bless Your Heart”. Their single, “Magnolia Road” (exclusively written by Vaughan), was in the top of the single charts.

Vaughan has shared stages with John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Def Leppard, Journey, Marty Stuart, James McMurtry, and Shooter Jennings.
His songs have appeared in prominent TV shows and films, including True Blood, Friday Night Lights, Shameless, The Office, Treadstone, and The Open Road. He composed music for David Lynch’s Webby Award-winning Interview Project.

Critics praise Vaughan as a “songwriter’s songwriter” for his Hemingway-direct lyrics, timeless quality, and ability to blend introspection with rootsy instrumentation. His voice and guitar work evoke old-school country and folk while feeling contemporary.

“I had a great time playing the Heartstrings Songwriter's Circle. Trish creates a positive and inviting environment for artists and audience alike. I highly recommend that artists apply for this opportunity. I also highly recommend attending an event! It's a unique and interactive experience. Get to know the songwriters behind the songs a little better!”
